Emails quickly poured in and I diligently began searching though the companies. I soon realized that the BBB didn't have a record of at least half of the companies. The half that sends all the spam mail of course. Later I found out though a reliable source that these companies make great offers to get your email address to add to their list. List that they will later sale for a large profit.
Weeks went by and I was constantly overloaded with mail offering great deals. At first I continued to check them out, but as the week wore on I realized most I'd seen at least once before. I also noticed that some of the emails didn't have my name on instead it had (costumers name.) My initial reaction was well heck if you are going to spam me at least put my name on it, make the offer look legit anyhow.
My piece of advice for the week is this:
1. Don't sign up for anything that says free or time sensitive until you've checked the business out first. No matter how good the offer or how many minutes, slots they say is left.
2. The old saying if it sounds to good to be true should always be remembered while you are searching.
3. When you do sign up be smart and make another email account for this project. Otherwise you might loose important email among all the spam.
One last thing. During this chaotic adventure I did find two companies I plan to use adlandpro and link exchange. They both seem to be reputable companies.
Thats all the advice I have for now so take care dear readers. I hope to see you back here again soon.
Melissa
