How to Find Legitimate Work at Home Opportunities

Although the web has created a lot of opportunities for home businesses it has also created a opportunity for scams. Scams that take people for millions of dollars on every single day. By following my simple guidelines you will know more about what to look for when deciding whether the company is legitimate or a scam.
Once you have found a business that interests you should investigate the company before you agree to anything. When I say investigate I mean check company age, background, financial stability, location, management, compensation plans, company policies. I know this may seem like a lot of work, but it could save you a lot of heart ache in the long run.
What is your initial reaction when you enter the site? Does it appear authentic? Is it organized with a lot of helpful information? If so you are on the right track.
What is there standings with the Better Business Bureau? Do they have any complaints against them? if so what are they? Where they taken care of? If so how, and how long did it take them to respond? How did they respond?
Next check there physical address and phone number. Is that the correct address? Is the number they give working and does it connect to the business? Can you talk to a person? If you get an answer machine will they return your call? If so how long does it take? A good business should return your call promptly, withing 24 hours.
How long has the company been in business? Are they financially stable?I would choose one that is well established and has been in business at least two years. Statistically a majority of businesses don't make it 2 years and fewer over 5.
Who is running the company? How much experience do they have? How is their past record? Has there been any complaints against them? Also check business spending. Do they spend a lot on unwarranted expenses? If so these expenditures could be taking money away from you.
Does the site require a membership fee, inventory or other upfront charges? If so how much?
Does the company have a refund policy and if so what is it? How are they about the refund policy. Do they stand true to their word or do they cause unnecessary hardship?
Check the companies mission statement, policies, and compensation plan. How long is the policy and procedures? Be cautious of long policy and procedure manuals. Is there anything in the policy and procedures that upsets you? Is there things you don't understand? If so you should as a lot of questions. How is the compensation plan set up? In other words how many people would you need to make your dream income? Is this feasible? Be sure to ask a lot of questions to ensure everything is on the up and up.
Lastly what assistance do they give you for free?Do they offer free training and support? Will you have a mentor to help train you? Do they offer you a web site or do you have to build your own at your own expense? Generally a good legitimate business will offer free training free mentoring and your own web site. They should also offer you tools like a learning center, seminars, and a back office to help get your business off the ground.
If
The business has poor standings with the BBB, has complaints against them.
The address or phone number is incorrect.
The compensation plan is poor,
The the policy wording has you concerned
You become suspicious about your finding, or there actions run as fast as you can. What you have is probably a scam.
If
all of these checks out well you probably have found a legitimate business. I still would use caution when proceeding, ask a lot of questions, including hidden charges and cancellation policies.

Take care everyone. Be sure to come back soon. because I'm  adding new articles all the time.
